Remember the past for that which was, will be that again.
Though I guess your realm didn't have anyone else trying to get to 80 first.
On Shadowsong EU it took less than 24 hours for the first lv 80 to appear. Though that was a warlock that ran and dotted everything in sight and then letting his massive group of guildies kill the mobs for him.
I'm still only lv 71. Been playing my new DK mainly.
